This is the first book in the WTF (Where's the Faith?) series. I'm excited about the release of this book on faith and sexuality which has been so well-received so far. In addition to being the series co-creator and co-editor, I have an essay in this volume called "Porn Nation." Check it out.

Split Ticket is book two in the WTF (Where's the Faith?) series, due out in the fall. This book on faith and politics is co-edited by Brandon Gilvin (my series co-creator and co-editor) and Amy Gopp. I have an essay in this book as well titled "Loving It," which deals with the delicate subjects of abortion, faith and politics. This book is available now for pre-order.

My first book, LOST: A Search for Meaning was published by Chalice Press in November, 2007. It is a theological commentary about the many religious and mythological symbols and theme in the television show, LOST. You can order the book on the Chalice Press website, at most major bookstores, or on Amazon. To download the introduction and first chapter for free, check out the page above titled "FREE Downloads" I also have reviews of the book on the "Reviews" page, as well as interviews I've done with several podcasters on the "Interviews" page.

I co-authored this book with my wife, Amy Piatt, who is the founding pastor of Milagro Christian Church. We surveyed more than 750 young adults about their views on church, organized religion and their personal spiritual identities. In addition, we sent video cameras across the country to people both within and outside to church, and asked them to record their own faith stories and perspectives on the role of religion in their lives. The results were personal, profound and often surprising.

Amy and I also were asked to write the meditation booklet for lent, 2009 for Chalice Press. There are meditations for every day of lent, intended to help you navigate what can be a challenging time of year, leading from Ash Wednesday to Easter.
